Easy Valentine’s Day Crafts For Fun And Games

Valentine’s Day is a fun day for spending time with the one you love. What better way to spend time with the ones you love than to play Valentine’s games? These easy craft ideas will help you to create some fun games to play on the holiday of love:

Conversation heart bingo: For this craft you need a box of conversation hearts per person. You need enough 6 x 6 inch cards of card stock for the number of people playing. You need a ruler, and you need a marker. What you are going to do is create a bingo card that has phrases found in conversation hearts. This could be “wow, “hot, etc. So, make each bingo card different. Draw a grid, and fill in the spaces. You can also use your creative skills to give your bingo cards a fun border. Cut out hearts and glue them on, or use stickers or rub on quotes. You can do a lot to make your cards fun. When you are finished making these cut bingo cards, take them to the library or a copy center and have them laminated so that you can use them time and again.

Then to play, give each player a box of conversation hearts to mark the called out phrases, and the caller should be given a box of conversation hearts to draw from. You will have a blast making and playing this game. When you get a whole row of phrases you can shout BINGO! Or put a spin on it and should LOVE-O or anything like that.

Heart cards: This is a great way to make games for people of all ages with a craft. You need plenty of cardstock, stickers, markers, etc. Cut your cardstock until you have a decks worth of card sized papers. Now create your own suits with Valentine themes, this can be cupids, arrows, hearts, love, etc. Decorate the deck, and have fun, then enjoy playing your favorite card games with this little Valentine’s Day twist. You can even get these laminated so that they wear better and you can keep them to use year after year to celebrate this holiday in a festive, fun filled way.

Pick up arrows: This craft game is a play on a classic favorite pastime of children, “Pick up sticks what you are going to do is create your own sticks, only you are going to make them shaped like cupid’s arrow. You can give each person a quiver to put their recovered arrows in. To make these you need wood skewers, and clay to form the tops and bottoms of the arrows. This is fast and easy, and a fun way to put a Valentine spin on a classic game. You will want to make these early enough to give the clay a chance to dry entirely. You can bake them if you want, but if you do this you will want to get the skewers wet first so that they do not burn. Reinforce with glue so that they last longer.
